Events in Erie region to mark Memorial Day

A number of events are scheduled this weekend in the Erie region to commemorate Memorial Day. The second annual Fallen Soldiers Picnic, Saturday, 3 p.m. to dusk, at Shades Beach, on Route 5, Harborcreek, includes a 21-gun salute, raffles, a gift auction, games, food, drink and music.
