Qualcomm has acquired 40 MHz (1452-1492 MHz) of L-Band radio spectrum recently auctioned by UK communications regulator Ofcom, at a cost of £8,334,000 (US$16.2 million).

Scottish media group SMG said on Friday its TV business had outperformed the wider ITV network, but it had seen weakness in its radio and cinema markets, sending its shares down 6.5 percent.
