Valley, foothill cattle ranchers need more rain

Drought may or may not have returned for most Californians, who can get by on reservoir storage before the real impacts hit. For cattle ranchers without irrigation, drought has hit fast and it is starting to hurt. A prolonged dry spell could sharply reduce beef production in Stanislaus and nearby counties.
