County commissioners protect ag opportunity with conservation language (The Prairie Star)

KALISPELL, Mont. - Flathead County, Mont., residents have the opportunity this fall to voice their opinions on conserving open spaces in the area when the county's conservation easement proposal is put to ballot. The easement, according to officials, would cost approximately $20 in taxes for a $215,000 property and conserve open spaces and agricultural land within Flathead County.

BETHALTO — Law enforcement officials on Wednesday came together to mourn the death of a popular and dedicated conservation police officer who served part of his career in the Jacksonville area.More than 100 officers from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources came to pay their last respects to Kim Rhodes, who was considered both a teacher and a friend.
