MISHAWAKA — History is coming alive for some local students Friday. The Mishawaka-Penn-Harris Public library is hosting an event to teach kids about the Civil War.

"I think [church members] certainly recognize [the history]," says Center for Spiritual Living minister Frances Lorenz. "They love to comment on the architecture and all the wood. It has an energy to it. I think all the years of work have made it a special place.
