Mahendergarh, Jul 6 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced that a Central University in the name of Lord Krishna would be set up over an area of 500 acres in this district to provide better educational facilities to students.

Top minority institutions like St Stephens and Loyola College may get the freedom to appoint faculty of their choice, irrespective of objections of the affiliating university. They will have to simply ensure that the recruited faculty meets the educational qualifications as prescribed by the University Grants Commission.
