When news broke on April 29, 2008 that the House of Representatives had thrown out the Freedom of Information Bill, Nigerians felt embarrassed that a House that was investigating past administration over the money spent on power projects, could be such in a haste to throw away one legislation that would have eased their over-sight function of the executive arm of government.Nigeria: Power Sector Probe And the Anti-Climax to Come (AllAfrica.com)
