KC councilwoman proposes big boost in museum tax (The Kansas City Star)

A Kansas City Council member is proposing a property tax increase to support museums in the city. Deb Hermann, chairwoman of the council’s Finance and Audit Committee, has introduced an ordinance to ask voters on Aug. 5 to support raising the current museum levy of 2 cents to the authorized limit of 10 cents.
