Grand Canyon University events center rises as part of $70M upgrades at campus

The facility will be the home of the GCU men's and women's basketball teams. The 5,000-seat center also is expected to host concerts, conferences, theatrical productions and other large gatherings, said Doug Carroll, manager for GCU's office of communications and public affairs.
