The leading teams had some thumping victories over their opponents this week, so that a clear gap is developing between the top three teams and the bottom ones. Sportspower beat Willis Bakery 20-11, Hibiscus House beat Merimbula Psychology 22-11 and ColorCraft Kitchens beat Sapphire Framing 18-12.

Eddie Pieron, a 21 year-old University of Miami senior from Woodland Hills, Ca., was found slain Saturday in his South Miami home, police said Monday. Pieron studied biology and psychology, according to his Facebook profile.
