WINCHENDON - Everyone knows that a good soup has a variety of tasty ingredients and is best served up hot to hungry people. With that recipe in mind, School Committee Vice Chairman Christine Philput is piloting a new education support program that she is calling "Stone Soup," after a book written following World War II.

AUSTIN — Two inspectors who were fired from the inspector general's office at the Texas Education Agency are suing the agency, alleging wrongful termination after they tried to investigate fraud and waste in the TEA, officials said.
