It took filmmakers six years to bring "The X-Files: I Want to Believe" from an idea on paper to the big screen. The movie was first proposed in late 2001 to follow the 2002 conclusion of the popular Fox TV series, which was an instant hit with viewers when it first aired in 1993. The new "X-Files" movie? Not exactly "out there." The truth is they've taken the spooky, paranormal-minded TV show (1993-2002) and drained much of the "super" right out of the supernatural.
