High gas prices have some Alabamians parking their cars and turning to alternative rides. Sales of motorcycles and bicycles are up. AAA Alabama says the average price regular gasoline jumped one cent in Birmingham, to 3.61 a gallon. FOX6 News Reporter Emily Luxen has details on how some are going for other alternatives.

The demand for alternative sweeteners to sugar is increasing at a rate of 8% per year. The market is showing more and more interest in natural sweeteners compared to synthetic ones. This has been reflected in a study carried out by researchers at the Universidad Miguel Hernández (UMH) in Elche, Alicante.
