Kelly Packard, who guided the Colorado Chill to back-to-back National Women's Basketball League championships, was hired Monday to be the women's basketball coach at Ball State.

Big changes are moving into the state after a warm afternoon. Snow will come to the Colorado mountains Monday night and then to the Front Range by Tuesday morning. A winter storm watch is in effect for the Front Range foothills starting Monday night and could provide significant snowfall.

SUMMIT COUNTY, Colorado — The Colorado River Basin is in good shape this year. Spring runoff will fill all the upper basin reservoirs in the next few months, water experts said at the annual state of the river meeting.
