Bay Area Labor Day travel slumps (Contra Costa Times)

For the first time in a decade, fewer Californians are expected to take Labor Day vacations this year, according to AAA of Northern California. About 4.3 million Californians will travel 50 miles or more this Labor Day weekend, a 1.4 percent drop from last year, said Cynthia Harris, a spokeswoman for AAA.

NEW YORK: Headaches associated with air travel appear to be a "huge and painful problem", Israeli researchers report. In a study of 906 men and women who had traveled more than once by plane, nearly 6% reported that they experienced headaches associated with flying.
