Village a good host for babies

When Laura Funderburg had her son, Carson, now almost 2, she knew the village was a better fit for the way she wanted to raise her son. And the warm community of parents and children she has found in the village erased all doubt in her mind that she made the right decision.

Wild B.I.R.D., 1880 S. Quebec Way, Denver, needs adult volunteers and monetary donations to help continue operations at its rehabilitation facility. Wild B.I.R.D. has sheltered, rehabilitated and released more than 10,000 healthy native birds into the parks and open spaces around Denver.

Pennsylvania's Top Two Youth Volunteers Selected in 17th Annual National Awards Program

Neha Gupta, 15, of Yardley and Calista Pierce, 12, of Guys Mills today were named Pennsylvania's top two youth volunteers for 2012 by The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards, a nationwide program honoring young people for outstanding acts of volunteerism.
