HONOLULU — With spring break under way or about to start for O'ahu's school-age keiki, it's time to mark up the calendar with fun outings to keep the kids entertained — and out of trouble — these next few weeks. Here are some events and activities to keep kids busy during the spring break.

Kramer goes from gynecology to genealogy (The Daily Iberian)

FRANKLIN — After delivering nearly 5,000 babies during his 35-year career, Thomas Frere Kramer, MD., retired from the gynecology trade, which he replaced by taking on the task of genealogy in an effort to resurrect the secrets, skeletons and memories of his forebears.

Money will be collected to help build school libraries in Pakistan and Afghanistan with "Pennies for Peace," at the Rockaway Township Library, 61 Mount Hope Road, through Monday, March 29.
