Maude-Aimée Leblanc of Le Mirage cruised to a nine-stroke victory in the Nivo Quebec Women's Amateur Championship at the Camelot Golf Club near Ottawa. Leblanc shot a final-round 75 for a 54-hole total of 7-under 209 while Sara-Maude Juneau of Lac St. Joseph was second at 218 after a 77 yesterday. JONESBORO — A game pitting the two teams with the best Zone 2 records turned into a blowout Tuesday night at Nettleton’s Raider Field. The Fat City Swamp Cats and Paragould Glen Sain both entered the night with one zone loss apiece.

CENTRAL FALLS — The Blackstone Valley Explorer, a 49-passenger riverboat, hosts summer cruises departing from Central Falls to tour the Valley Falls Wilderness Area. Organizers say the tour gives a close-up look at the restoration of the Blackstone — America’s first polluted river, a sad result of its hardworking past.
