BLACK BAYOU — Bass are slow to fair with a few hitting floating worms around the grass. Crappie are slow. Bream are fair to good on beds on worms and crickets.

MONROE — The Barclay Brook Elementary School hosted its 10th Annual Circus Around the World May 24 in which the second graders performed acts from various countries for their fellow students and parents.

Thursday, May 24 — The line between fantasy and reality dissolved in a vivid whirl of high-flying trapeze acrobatics, Chinese yo-yos and comedic pantomimed antics last night at the debut of Cirque du Soleil’s “Quidam� in East Lansing.
