Jerome L. Marostica Sr., one of the true, original Alaska pioneers, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2008. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 5, at Alaskan Heritage Memorial Chapel in Wasilla, with Father Stan Allie officiating.

Mr. Benny P. Giafaglione, 77 of 221 Willow Lake Dr. in Leesburg, GA died July 3, 2008 at Lee County Health Care. Funeral services will be Wednesday 10 AM at St. Teresa's Catholic Church. Rev. Ray Levreault officiating. Interment will follow in Crown Cemetery with military honors.
