ELGIN – From today to Aug. 8, Forest Preserve District of Kane County staff members will begin brush control at Burnidge Forest Preserve using machinery.

ALTA - It wasn't long before a hike during the Wasatch Wildflower Festival here Saturday turned competitive.     The group had barely left the parking lot at Alta when the first flowers were spotted and identified by two volunteer leaders.
