Fatal shooting at Petersburg graduation party (Richmond Times-Dispatch)

A Dinwiddie man has been charged with second-degree murder following a shooting at a graduation party in Petersburg. Nathaniel Turner, 34, of Petersburg was fatally shot early Sunday after an argument in Club 17, police said. After interviewing witnesses, police arrested Tristian Smith, 23, of Dinwiddie County with second-degree murder and using a firearm in a felony.
