Harper's Bazaar has appointed Sarah Bailey, the former editor of Elle UK, as deputy editor. Bailey is currently a contributing editor of Harper's Bazaar US, a position she has held since June 2007, prior to this she was deputy editor in chief of the magazine.

The Liverpool Daily Post will later on today become the first newspaper in the UK to broadcast its afternoon editorial conference live on the web.
