Regional fuel tax is an option for ECan (Scoop.co.nz)

Following the approval of legislation in Parliament yesterday, Environment Canterbury (ECan) says that a regional fuel tax is one option available for raising the additional funding necessary to achieve the outcomes of the Canterbury Transport Regional Implementation Plan (TRIP), but there are no plans to introduce the charge in Canterbury immediately.

EAST SMETHPORT - Kyle Drum of Wayland, N.Y., picked up his first ever FASTRAK Regional Late Model win at McKean County Raceway on Saturday night. Drum won convincingly over Max Blair and took home $1,200. Dick Barton was third followed by John Lacki and Mike Wonderling.
