Festival cancels river events due to fast currents (The Wichita Eagle)

Swift-moving currents in the Arkansas River prompted the Wichita River Festival to cancel events scheduled on the river today. Recent heavy rains have swollen the river and made it hazardous for some activities. The river events scheduled for today included free paddle boats, canoeing and kayaking.
