Radioactive training for public safety (North Platte Telegraph)

Low-level radioactive waste generated by hospitals, public utilities and industries needs to go somewhere and it usually gets there via trucks on the country’s interstate highway system. This week instructors from the U.S. Department of Energy led training classes in radiological emergencies for employees of the North Platte Fire Department and the West Central District Health Department.
