When Debbie Savoia returned from the mailbox one day in late March, she held two letters from the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women. Opening both, she learned that not only had she been named the commission's 2008 Unsung Heroine for North Andover, but her nomination of her friend and colleague, Laurie Myers, had been accepted as well.
