On July 16, 2008 Standard & Poor's Rating Services affirmed its foreign currency ratings on Fiji, keeping its 'B' long-term foreign currency and 'B+' long-term local currency credit ratings. Fiji's military leader says there will be no elections held in the pacific nation next year.
