US diplomat heads to Honduras to help fight crime

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras (AP) — The United States says it is sending a former ambassador to help advise Honduras on tackling violent crime. Honduras has the highest homicide rate in the world, and crime there recently led the US government to withdraw Peace Corps volunteers from the country.
