Hamfest kicks off in Gaston County (The Shelby Star)

Thousands of amateur radio enthusiasts are descending on Gaston County Park in Dallas in anticipation of Shelby Hamfest this weekend. The event kicked off Friday night with a free concert. The 52nd annual Shelby Hamfest opens at 7 this morning. A weekend pass to the event is $7 at the gate.Are professional music critics losing their clout? (The Christian Science Monitor)
