iPhone 3G - first reviews are in (Macworld UK)

The first batch of iPhone reviews have emerged, indicating that battery life when using 3G is drastically reduced. The usual triumverate of technology reviewers managed to convince Apple PR to hand over an iPhone 3G for testing across the last couple of weeks: Walt Mossberg of the Wall Street Journal/All Things Digital , Edward Baig at USA Today and David Pogue at the New York Times.

Two major—and somewhat mixed—iPhone 3G consumer reviews tonight in advance of Friday's second-gen rollout. The NYT's David Pogue and WSJ's Walt Mossberg find a lot to praise in what really isn't a very different phone but each also sees some drawbacks that could be showstoppers for some.
