Fond farewell for Holifield (The Indianapolis Star)

With handshakes and bearhugs, hundreds came to say thank you to retiring Plainfield Schools Superintendent Jerry Holifield. With his usual wide smile, a twinkle in his eye and dry sense of humor, Holifield returned the thanks for the support and help of teachers, staff, administrators and the community that bouyed his 17 years at the helm of the town's educational system.
