SAO PAULO (AP) -- The Brazilian government insisted Wednesday it's not worried with the pace of preparations for the 2014 World Cup even though it announced that only 5 percent of all the planned projects have been completed.

Subway workers went on strike in Brazil's biggest city on Wednesday, but ended it five hours later after halting a system used daily by more than 4 million people and snarling the city's already difficult traffic.
