French Q1 Payroll Employment Increases (INO News)

(RTTNews) - French payroll employment increased 39,400 sequentially to 16.07 million in the first quarter, the statistical office INSEE reported Friday. The number of employees in principally market sectors grew 0.2% on a quarterly basis and increased 1.5% annually.

Pennsylvanias seasonally adjusted civilian labor force -- the number of people working or looking for work -- rose to 6,370,000 in April, an increase of 46,000 from March. Resident employment and unemployment were up from March by 35,000 and 9,000, respectively. The labor force was up 95,000 from April 2007, with employment and unemployment up over the year.
