Italy's Finmeccanica near deal for U.S. Army supplier DRS: report (Market Watch)

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Italian aerospace and defense contractor Finmeccanica Spa is on the verge of closing a deal to acquire to acquire U.S. Army supplier DRS Technologies, Inc for 3.5 billion euros ($5.4 billion), Italian business newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore said Sunday.
