LONDON (Reuters) - Sotheby's expects a rare sculpture of a young ballet dancer by French impressionist Edgar Degas to fetch up to 12 million pounds ($17.5 million) when it goes under the hammer in London next month.

This time sails and wind were not meant to go together. A 40-foot sculpture, with a two-fold purpose of shielding the view of a parking structure in Gaslight Village and paying tribute to East Grand Rapids' nautical history, lost its wings to high winds late last month.
