Global threats force Latvian Defense Concept update

RIGA - Latvia’s Saeima on May 10 approved a new National Defense Concept, which provides that the country’s defense budget is to reach 2 percent of gross domestic product by 2020, reports LETA. The concept covers a period of four years; it is usually renewed after every Saeima election.
